Hot stuff. I'll mention some of mine that haven't been mentioned as of yet.
WRONG SCALE
The Band Apart
Popdisaster*
NEWSTARTINGOVER
RADWIMPS
DaTURA*
Soulsberry (RIP)
Starboard*
Ging Nang Boyz/Binkan Shounentai (similar band members, same lead vo/gui)
Bolded marks for favorites. Some of the stuff are fairly new bands, marked with a *. |

Bugy will always have a special place in my list...arguably the best garage band from Hokkaido.
I've been listening to Under Graph for a bit, but am having trouble with enjoying their style. They feel like a jazzier version of Quruli. This is from the only album I've heard (Zero e no Chowa). |

| yeah I like oceanlane and fra foa too. Yet Oceanlane confuses me, because their english is so flipping amazing that I think I'm listening to American music. I don't know about spangle call lilli line sometimes I can listen to it sometimes I can't. Yet I only have 3 songs....so I don't want to judge with just those three songs. |

This perfect english is what i rather don't like about Oceanlane.
But it's clear as one member lived in the usa and the other one went to an english high-school. A few months ago i would have loved them but right now i need JAPANESE-ROCK!!! |

Hey, at least they split efforts. In their first album, it's Hajime that's singing, and in "Kiss and Kill", I believe Kay does all the vocal work. They've got great duo-chemistry unlike other great artists (love psychedelico, yuzu, amongst them), though I'm half-sure in that the US/Japanese connotation is what helped them gain popularity...in Japan.
I'd really like to hear them release a Japanese album, with both Hajime and Kay singing in Japanese. They're both fluent, so it's not far-off. |
